Anonymous asked: Ayurnamat - Jean x Armin
ayurnamat: the philosophy that there is no point in worrying about events that cannot be changed.
(i think…. i may have misinterpreted the connotation of this word ack i’m sorry!! this was originally a small part of a longer piece i gave up on. warnings for major character death below!)
“Hey,” Jean slurs around a mouthful of blood, “Armin.”
“Stop talking, Jean.”
“Just leave it—”
“I said stop!”
Jean closes his mouth, blinks tiredly up at Armin hunched over him, his fingers fumbling with a roll of bandages. The blood has already soaked through Jean’s shirt and into the mud, and Armin tries very hard to remember all the meager medical training he’s ever had. He shakes rain out of his eyes as he struggles to unbutton the shirt, ignoring the red that stains his fingers.
“Armin,” Jean says again, quietly.
Armin stops, looks at him. He feels dampness run down his cheeks, and he knows it’s not just the rain. “Jean,” he begs, voice cracking, “please.”
